Food waste collection
in the Eastern Suburbs.

We collect food waste every week across the Eastern Suburbs, from Paddington, Double Bay and Rose Bay to Bondi, Coogee, Randwick and Maroubra. Each 120L bin costs $45 to $54 a week by weight, ex GST, plus a fuel levy.

We collect across the three Eastern Suburbs councils: Waverley (Bondi, Bondi Junction, Bronte), Randwick (Clovelly, Coogee, Randwick, Kensington, Maroubra) and Woollahra (Paddington, Woollahra, Double Bay, Rose Bay). How collection works here

Set up once.
Runs every week.

  1. We deliver the kit

Caddy, liners, signage and the 120L bin, set up in the kitchen.

  2. Collected weekly

We collect the bin on the same day every week.

  3. We set your tier

For the first few weeks we watch the real weights, then set the tier that fits.

Your collection day

Your bin is collected once a week on a fixed day, set when you sign up. We confirm the day when you enquire.

Summer, the beaches and seasonal peaks

Kitchens near the beaches have a busy summer and a quieter winter, and food waste follows the crowds. That is one reason our prices are set by weight after we have watched the real numbers: if your summer bins get heavy, we look again and set the tier that fits, or add a second bin for the busy months. If your volumes change through the year, tell us and we will review it.

The NSW food waste rules also allow for this. The EPA says seasonal businesses must comply, and if a site's general waste bin capacity moves above or below a threshold during the year, the rules may apply at some times and not others. The thresholds are 3,960L a week from 1 July 2026, 1,980L from 1 July 2028 and 720L from 1 July 2030.

Three councils, three different starting points

According to the NSW EPA's council list, Randwick City Council and Woollahra Municipal Council already provide a food and garden organics (FOGO) service to households, and Waverley Council has one planned. So depending on where your staff live, food separation may already be a habit at home, or about to become one. For the business rules, your council is the regulator for most sites, so Waverley, Randwick or Woollahra is the place to ask if you are unsure. Our guide to the NSW food waste rules sets out the detail.

What it costs

The price is the same as everywhere we collect: $45 a 120L bin a week for up to 20kg a lift, $49 for up to 35kg and $54 for up to 50kg, ex GST, plus a 9.93% fuel levy shown as its own line. For the first few weeks we watch the real weights, then set the tier that fits. See how the weight tiers work.

Eastern Suburbs questions

Local
questions.

Every area has the same prices. See all the areas we collect.

Our bins get much heavier in summer. Will we pay more?
Only if the weight moves you into a higher tier. We set your tier from real weights, and we can review it or add a second bin for the busy months.
Do you collect along the beachfront?
Yes, across Bondi, Bronte, Clovelly, Coogee and Maroubra. Tell us where the bin can be reached on collection morning, since beachfront streets can be busy and parking is tight.
Which council do I ask about the NSW rules?
The council for your address: Waverley, Randwick or Woollahra. Councils check compliance with the business food waste rules for most sites.
