Hands-on sessions
on food waste and growing.
For anyone, from councils to community groups. Sessions run on site or at a partner garden, and each one is tailored to the group.
Three parts,
one session.
Sessions are hands-on, and price is available on request.
Food waste
What food waste is, why it's separated from other waste, and where it goes after collection.
Compost
How composting works, with food waste and finished compost to see and handle.
Growing
Planting and tending food, and how compost feeds what grows.
We still run them,
just not every week.
Workshops started on FO's original farm. They still happen today, on site or at a partner garden or partner farm like Pocket City Farms, and it's something we want to run more of.
For little ones,
and the people who care for them.
We can shape a session for young children, early childhood services and families: seeing, smelling and handling food waste and compost, and planting something to take home. Tell us about your group and its ages when you enquire, and we will work out what suits.
