Feedback Organic Co-Design Hub
Australia wastes 7.6 million tonnes of food every year while one in six adults experience food insecurity. The food is there. It is just stuck in the wrong system.
Feedback Organic has spent over a decade proving there is a better way. We have diverted more than 2 million litres of food waste from landfill, grown over 40 tonnes of fresh produce on urban farms, and engaged more than 2,000 volunteers in building circular food systems from the ground up.
Now, through the Co-Design Hub, we are turning that experience into a model any community can use. The Hub is a platform where residents can pitch food security ideas, neighbours help prioritise the ones that matter most, and selected projects receive real support to bring them to life.
In our pilot community, the Hub is being designed to support ventures such as a local mushroom farm, a refugee kitchen collective, and a First Nations bush tucker hub – initiatives shaped by the people they serve and grounded in the needs of the community.
Your donation helps us bring this model to life and expand it to more communities across Australia: funding local campaigns, supporting the first wave of projects, and giving neighbourhoods the tools to build food systems that actually work for them. Every dollar helps demonstrate that hyperlocal, community-led food solutions are not only possible, but replicable.
This matters now. NSW food waste mandates take effect from July 2026, with other states expected to follow. Communities that already have circular food infrastructure in place will thrive. Those that do not will scramble. The window to build is open, but it will not stay open forever.
Whether you give $20 or $200, you are backing a model that puts communities in charge of their own food future. Thank you for considering it. Every contribution moves us closer to a food system that wastes less and feeds more.
More people than ever are
struggling to put food on the table.
